Nehmia graduated from Richardson High School in Lake City on May 24, 1964. His family later moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was ranked as a Sergeant. He also earned the U.S. Army’s Sharpshooter Badge. After the war, he received an honorable discharge. Nehmia later moved to Denver, CO, where he met and married Deborah Collins. They moved to Fort Lauderdale, where they lived for 38 years, until they relocated to Jacksonville, FL. He was a loving and caring father to his beautiful daughter, Stephanie, and always reminded her to “take the Lord along with her” wherever she went.

Nehmia leaves to cherish his memory his lovely wife, Deborah; daughter, Stephanie Mackey; son-in-law, Robert Mackey, and granddaughter, Sophia Mackey, of Lake Wylie, SC. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives and friends.
