Neal W. Maggart, 62, Lapel, died November 14, 2008 at his residence after a sudden illness. He was born April 24, 1946 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Lapel, Indiana.
Neal was a farmer in Lapel and had lived in the area his entire lifetime. He was a member of the Indiana Flying Farmers and the Goldwing Road Riders Association.
He is survived by his children: Sherri husband, Tony Wood of Pendleton, Betty fiance’, Brad VanAlstyne Busby of Pendleton and Glen wife, Chris Maggart of Lapel. 11 grandchildren: Matthew Wood, Megan Wood, Kaity Wood, Kelsie Busby, Tyler VanAlstyne, Chaz VanAlstyne, Jaden VanAlstyne, Tristan Maggart, Logan Maggart, Tyler Mixell and Caleb Mixell. Also surviving is best friend of Markleville: Gale Maggart. He was preceded in death by his parents: Virginia Woodward and Newell Maggart. Sister: Judith Kay.
