Naydene Ruth Jones Plath, 86, known to all as “Mema” was born May 14, 1930 and passed away on November 17, 2016 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her father, J.W. (Wilbur) Jones and mother, Evelyn A. Smith. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, John L. Plath; her brother, James W. Jones, Jr. (Patty) of Escondido, CA; her five children, John W. Plath (Shelley), Debbie R. Archer (Randy), Kathy A. Cooper (Chad), Jamie L. Davidson (Rick) and Larry D. Plath (Lynda), all of Albuquerque; 11 grandchildren, Dana Humphries, Holly Mitchell (Jim), Brandi Yearout (Billie), Becky Burt (Todd), Jason Archer (Jenny), Joslyn Fairchild (Ryan), Brent Plath (Emily), Carrie Saiz (Jon), Cori Cooper, Justin Plath (Bri) and Timmy Plath, all of Albuquerque; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and many, many dear friends.

Naydene graduated from Albuquerque High School, class of 1948 and attended Denver University. She was an active gardener, being one of the founders of Mesa Diggers and she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 34. She was an avid Denver Broncos fan and had running rivalries with any non-Broncos fans. She was a true social butterfly and was always the life of any party.
