Natlie K. Sandoval, 60, of Galesburg, died at Cottage Hospital ICU February 2, 2008. Natlie was born February 2, 1948 in Galesburg, the daughter of Sostenes and Rufina Delgado Perez. She was wed to Alfonso Sandoval on November 24, 1967 in Galesburg.

Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Sandoval of Peoria and Karen (Bill) Baughman of Galesburg; one son, Alfonso Sandoval, Jr. of Galesburg; 7 grandchildren, Jessica Hall, Christopher McCrea, Aaron, Austin, and Alex Baughman, Mercedes and Kalley Sandoval, and one expected grandchild due to arrive on February 14, 2008; six brothers, Lupe (Jessie) Perez of Galesburg, John (Norma) Perez of Tulsa, OK, Frank Perez of Galesburg, Jesse (Jovita) Perez of Galesburg, Angelo Perez of Galesburg, and Richard (Yolanda) Perez of Springfield; and one sister, Helen (David) Rasso of Galesburg.

Natlie attended Galesburg Schools and was employed at John’s Taco Hideout prior to devoting 28 years to Butler Manufacturing, where she especially loved Dept. 84.

After retiring in 2003, Natlie became a full-time Grandma. She enjoyed spending time at the Paradise Riverboat Casino and taking care of her dog Paco, but her greatest enjoyment was shopping for her grandkids and surprising them with unexpected gifts.

She spent the majority of her life in Galesburg. However, her battle with liver disease required her to reside with daughter Ruth’s family in Peoria, where she received care and assistance for the past two and a half years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and her beloved daughter Lisa Sandoval-Hall who passed away on April 14, 2007.
