Life’s Reflection
Nathaniel K. Rhodes II was born in Anderson, Indiana on August 15, 1974, to his father, Nathaniel K. Rhodes Sr. and his mother, Marifrancis Rhodes, who preceded him in passing.
Known to many as Nate, Kenny and Coach Nate. He accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior at an early age. He fellowshipped with his family at Temple of Praise Assembly under the leadership of Bishop Donald L. Golder.
He graduated from George Washington High School and obtained his college degree through Ivy Tech Community College. In 2013, he became a Coach Driver for Indy-Go. He lived a fun filled life with family travel and an abundance of happy moments. Truly a wise man with integrity and great work ethic, he enjoyed coaching and mentoring children through sports, was most proud to be a father, awesome man of God, loving husband and best friend to his wife who he affectionately called, “Mo”.
On April 20, 2006, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to Shontovia Monique Atkinson. Together, they enjoyed living life as best friends and lovers.
He departed from this earthly life July 30, 2019, and leaves her to cherish his memories his loving wife, Shontovia; father, Nathaniel K. Rhodes, Sr.; children, Nathaniel K. Rhodes, III, Kalen M. Rhodes, Aaleijah V. Araujo, Janaee’ D. Rhodes and Jalen Nathan Ali Rhodes; sister, Yolonda Weir, as well as his uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins.
