Nathaniel Lucyies, a native of Jackson and resident of Gainestown, transitioned from this life Friday, Oct. 9, 2020. Born March 18, 1967, he was the son of Grover Lee Lucyies and Jimmie Clara Lucyies.
Nathaniel, also known as “Uncle Nate, Nate Dogg-Killa,” was a kind, loving, strong hearted man that would lend a helping hand to anyone. He devoted his life to being a caring husband, father, brother and grandfather. He believed in doing good towards others and did not mind saying how he felt about a situation.
He loved watching his favorite TV shows, Discovery Channel, news, Gold Rush, Deadliest Catch, River Monster, Animal Planet, Swamp People and Moonshiners. His favorite hobbies were four wheeling, gardening, fishing, hunting and carpentry. Most of all, he loved cooking out grilling, listening to music, laughing and having fun with his family and friends. He worked as a construction worker and boat deckhand worker in his earlier years to support his family.
Preceding him in death are his father, Grover Lee Lucyies; mother, Jimmie Clara Lucyies; brother, Larry Wayne Lucyies; and his sister, Gloria Ann Lucyies.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories the love of his life of 31 years, his wife, Cynthia Foxx. He was a devoted father to four sons, Terrell Foxx and Larell Foxx, both of Gainestown, Ladarius Jackson of Jackson and Kerron Lucyies of Gainestown; two daughters, Keyanna Foxx and Brianna (Brandon) Roberson of Mobile; five grandchildren, Paislee Foxx, Amelia Foxx Worthy and Zachary Worthy, all of Gainestown, Erieane Jackson of Jackson and Terriyanna Reynolds of Prichard; four brothers, Alfred Luther of Kansas City, Mo., Kim Lucyies of Mount Vernon, Emerson Lucyies and Climmies Lucyies, both of Jackson; three sisters, Shirley Lucyies and Clarissa Lucyies, both of Jackson, and Christina (Devain) Chapman of Grove Hill; with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
