Nathan “Nate” H. Hesslein, 86, of Toms River, NJ died on Saturday, February 18, 2017. Nate was born in Newark, NJ, and lived in Ocean Twsp., NJ before moving to Toms River, NJ 10 years ago.
Nate attended Georgetown University in Washington DC for 2 years and was a graduate of Rutgers College of Pharmacy in New Jersey. He was a Pharmacist and owned Martin’s Drug & Department Stores in Lavallette, NJ. Nate was a standard breed horse owner for over 40 years and a member of the SBOA Standard Breeders & Owners Association.
Nate is predeceased by his parents Nathan and Mary Hesslein; his son Mark Hesslein and his brothers Robert Hesslein and Franklin Hesslein.
Surviving is his loving wife Barbara Hesslein of Toms River, NJ; his children Ronald Hesslein and his wife Linda, Thomas Hesslein and his wife Tara, Lorraine Hesslein and her husband Paul Venier and his daughter-in-law Candace Hesslein; his sister Joyce Looney and his grandchildren Michael, Amy, Jason, Alexandra, Brittany and Jack.
