Mr. England was born August 10, 1955 in Perry County, Alabama to the late Leo and Maggie Rutledge England.  He departed this life at Decatur Morgan Hospital-DG Campus on December 9, 2014.

Nathan accepted Christ at an early age and joined Old Oak Grove M.B. Church.  In 2009 he was baptized and united with Eastside Church of Christ in Decatur under the leadership of Brother Larry D. Williams, Sr.

He attended the East Perry County Schools and later received a GED.  He worked for McKinney Portering Service for many years.

Nate loved his family dearly and always enjoyed returning back to Sprott, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by:  his parents, Leo and Maggie England; Siblings, Eddie England, Joseph England and Alma Milton.

He leaves to cherish her memory:  a loving and devoted wife, Dora H. England; two sons, Herman Hurt Jr. and Bobby E. Thomas III; one daughter, Cleopatra Grissom of Chicago, IL; one brother, Leo (Gladys) England Jr; five sisters, Emma Melton, Mamie McKinney, Annie Ford, Donna Thomas all of Chicago, IL and Irma J. Melton of Sprott; one special daughter-in-law, Rebecca Steger; one sister-in-law, Ella Chester of Decatur; three brothers-in-law, Willie D. Thomas of Chicago, IL, Douglas Melton and Robert Melton; special niece, Patricia Whitehorn; special nephews, Lee Curtis (Stacey) Melton of Brent and Sherrod England of Selma and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
