Indian Orchard – Natalie (Szydlo) Laczek, 89, died Friday, October 30, 2009 at the Life Care Center of Wilbraham. Born in Chicopee to Frank and Sophie (Martowski) Szydlo, Natalie was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Chicopee High School and Bay Path Junior College. She retired from the Dow Jones Wall St. Journal in Chicopee.
Predeceased by her husband, Theodore and her two brothers, Edwin and Frederick, she leaves two sons, John Laczek and his wife, Judy of Cromwell, CT and Frank Laczek of Indian Orchard; a daughter, Rosemary Shea and her husband Barry of Springfield; four grandchildren, Lori Shea, Jeffrey Laczek and his wife, Amy, James Laczek and Lise Laczek and a great-granddaughter, Elliot Laczek.
