Naomi M. Thompson age 88 of Glasgo Kentucky passed away Saturday August 14, 2010 at the T.J. Sampson Community Hospital.
Born on December 12, 1921 in Adario the daughter of David F. and Ida (Berry) McCormic she was an Ashland County resident most of her life before moving to Kentucky. While in Ashland Mrs. Thompson was a twenty year employee of Samaritan Hospital where she operated the switch board. She was also previously employed at National Latex.
On October 3, 1947 Naomi married Thomas G. Thompson who preceded her in death in August of 1992.
Survivors include two daughters and one son in law, Karen (Elsworth) Bair of Ashland and Patricia Somerlade of Glasgo Kentucky.
She is also survived by Nine Grandchildren, Five Step-Grandchildren, twenty two great grand children, six step great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and three step great great grandchildren. One sister also survives, Jeanette Grosscup of Ashland.
In addition to her husband Thomas, Naomi is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, David (Don) McCormic, Ralph McCormic, and Wayne McCormic; four sisters, Helen Auger, Aliene Keiffer, Ruth Pruner and Thelma Bassford. Several nieces and nephews also precede her in death.
Mrs. Thompson was a member of the First Christian Church in Ashland.
