Naomi Irene Cousans, age 83, of Lambert’s Run, passed away at 1:35 pm, Monday March 19, 2012, in her home following a brief illness. She was born near Coldwater, WV, August 26, 1928, a daughter of the late Hubert and Geneva Nicholson. Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law, Charles “Pete” and Esther Nicholson; one sister, Arlene “Pee-Wee” Stinson; one daughter, Charlene Lee Vickers; two grand-daughters, Edna and husband Jeff Stalnaker, and Carolyn Vickers and companion Clovis “Coke” McCoy; three great-grandsons, Nathaniel Stalnaker and companion Tonya Waxler, Joshua Stalnaker, and Matthew Vickers; four great-great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Grace Stalnaker, Shiley Rose Stalnaker, and Joshua and Tanaya Toothman; and several nieces, nephews and other family members, including Rita and Mike Walker; Stacey, Christian and Kayden Walker; and Jennifer and Carson Walker. In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Larry Nicholson; two sisters, Rosemary Kelley and Ina Mae Hood; and one son-in-law, Larry O. Vickers. Irene was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and crocheting and needlework.
