Nancy Stropp Marion passed away peacefully on Friday, July 1, 2022 at age 85. Nancy was born and raised in Short Hills, New Jersey. She graduated from Kent Place School in Summit, and received her Associates degree from Bennett College in Millbrook, New York. After time spent living in Germany, Nancy returned to New Jersey and lived in Florham Park before settling in Chatham where she lived with her family for nearly thirty years. She served on various committees and fundraisers throughout her time in Chatham and volunteered at the schools of her children. Nancy was a much loved member of her community and all who came to her house on Martin Place were welcome. She enjoyed travel, tennis and paddle, bridge, rooting on CHS in any sport and waving at friends from her custom van.
Nancy was preceded in death by two infant children: Jennifer and Timothy, and her parents Edward K and Marion Stropp. She is survived by her children, Pam Thalhamer (David), Tylee (Christine), Todd, Melanie (Paul) and eight grandchildren: Nell, Addison, Daniel, Lee, Molly, Mason, Macoy and Lily, her brother Edward K (Sandy) Stropp and her former husband Paul B. Marion and former daughter in law Flora Marion.
