Nancy Stenson, 68, of St Petersburg passed away on January 6, 2017. She was the beloved daughter of the late John and Eva Stenson and her brother Richard Stenson and his wife Gloria, sisters Doris Febba and her husband Tom Scurfield and Feryle Vitale and late husband John Vitale Jr. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces; John, Paul and Joey Vitale, Sam Febba, Michael and Christine Stenson, Ben, Joanne and Matt Scurfield and dear friend Jay Gaskin and 2 great-nephews Cash Lee and Jack was born in Queens New York City in 1948, a Down’s Syndrome baby and the third child of Eva and John. Our parents provided the loving care and guidance to assure Nancy’s blossoming of her unique gifts, talents and potential. Her earliest childhood years in Bayside N.Y. as one of four children in a family of 7, including Nadie our loving grand-mother, were filled with happiness and lots of typical family chaos. Nancy started public school at 8 years of age and climbed on the bus each day with unbounding excitement and energy. Summers meant time together with cousins at “the Lake” where she acquired a never ending love of the water and the 70’s our folks moved to Deltona Florida where Nancy, now in her early 20’s, was able to work in WORC workshop program in Deland. She thrived at work with many friends and one special one, boyfriend Robert Kelly.Nancy’s joy of life was palpable. People loved her smile, her humor, tenderness, sensitivity of others and her amazing “spunk”.
