Nancy Ruth Kirby, 86, of Hazel Green, Alabama, formerly of Independence, Missouri, went to be with Jesus and have a very big family reunion on Thursday morning when she peacefully passed away while at her home.  She was a Christian and worshipped at First Baptist Church of Meridianville.  

She could always make others laugh and cry, and her family knew that she loved them.   She had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger.  She was a spunky, funny, tough (her nickname was “Tuffy”), and loving mom.   Throughout her life she faithfully volunteered with many organizations, especially veteran-related service organizations.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, the love of her life, Daimon Eugene Kirby;  Her children:  Nancy Jean Yeoman, Patricia Gaylene Kirby, Daimon Eugene Kirby Jr, Deborah Kay Plumberg; Her grandson, Robert Eric Kirby; Her parents, Willis & Helen Lucile “Dolly” Bledsoe, and by four sisters and two brothers;  

Surviving family members include her daughter, Valerie Ann Carey; Her son, Doyle Dean Kirby; She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and her uncle, Victor Nelson.
