Nancy Minor, age 57, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010. Born in San Antonio, TX, on Oct. 14, 1952, she was the daughter of Floyd McGown and Elizabeth McClung McGown. She was an independent historical researcher with a Master”s Degree from Texas State University. She specialized in archival research regarding the history and culture of the Lipan Apaches and was the Tribal Historian of the Lipan Apache Tribe of Texas. Preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth McGown, Nancy is survived by her husband, David Minor; father, Floyd McGown; son, Justin Minor; granddaughter, Savannah Minor; and brother, Andrew McGown.
