Nancy Hurley Radley died July 13, 2021 in Parker, Colorado. She was born on Sunday, May 7, 1944 in Lafayette, Indiana during World War II. Her father, Lt. Edward Hurley was in the Pacific flying B52’s as a navigator/bombardier. When he returned home he chose to remain in the military as a career officer.

In 1961, her father returned from the military and the family moved to New Mexico.

Nancy entered the University of New Mexico in 1962. She was an education major and was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She graduated in 1966 and that summer married David Radley, who was employed by the Department of Agriculture. They lived in many small New Mexico towns. Nancy taught in many schools during that period and later in Albuquerque.

Nancy and David chose to open themselves to become a family. Their son Jason was born in 1973 and their second son Byron in 1974. They later moved back to Albuquerque where they raised their family. In time David was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. His long illness now became a centering part of the family journey. In 2004 he died. Nancy and David shared a very measured 40 year journey in the desert – March 1964 to March 2004.

Over her 76 year journey Nancy lived deeply inside family life. God gifted her with many deep friendships of over 50 many holy souls. She cherished them all.

During her sunny days in the desert she enjoyed 30 years of golf with ever so many friends. But her true desert journey was with her God. A time and space for her soul to grow in His holy ways and grace.

Nancy is survived by her son Jason David Radley and wife Kristy and her son Byron Kevin Radley all of Parker Colorado.  She was the grandmother to Alec Radley, Tyler Radley and Hannah Radley.  She is also survived by her brothers Phil and Dennis Hurley and sister Colleen Cudney and their families.

Her husband David and parents Edward and Mary Hurley and their large Catholic family and ever so many holy friends will be greeting her in heaven.
