Nancy Preston LeClaire, 73, of New Haven, died Sept. 24, 2013 after a long illness. She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Thomas Boyd. Born in Providence, R.I. on July 30, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Evelyn (David) Preston and step daughter of the late Ada Preston. Mrs. LeClaire was a Bus Driver for the New Haven Public School System and always enjoyed getting to know the children, especially the youngest ones. She retired after more than 20 years to spend more time raising her grandsons. She leaves two sons; Jeffery LeClaire of Cheshire and Irving LeClaire of New Haven; three daughters, April Boyd of Sanford, FL., Geneva Lawhorne and Priscilla Jones, both of New Haven; and one sister; Shirley Miguel of East Providence, RI. She also is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons; Robert LeClaire and Steven LeClaire.
