Nancy Laverne Adams of Crawfordsville passed away Saturday morning, Nov. 14, 2015, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. She was 61.
She was born Nov. 8, 1954, at Bloomington, Illinois, to Dale and Eleanor (Hickstein) Davis. She was a 1972 graduate of Marshall High School in Marshall, Illinois, and attended Indiana State University. She worked in the Montgomery County School System for 36 years. She taught special education at Southmont, Tuttle Middle School and Crawfordsville High School. For the last 15 years she was a special education consultant in the West Central Special Services Co-Op. She was also a member of the Crawfordsville Education Association, ISTA and the NEA.
In 1977, she married the love of her life, Tim Adams. They were married 38 years and had two children. Nancy was spunky and full of love and laughter; she always had a smile and a hug to share. She loved going to the beach with her husband, working in her yard, cooking and spending time with her children and granddaughters, Grace and Norah.
Survivors include her husband Tim; son Christopher of West Lafayette; daughter Mandy (Zach) Adams-Washburn of Marshall, Illinois; granddaughters, Grace and Norah; brother Steve Davis of New Market; and father Dale Davis of Marshall, Illinois.
