Nancy L. McIntire, 87, of Enterprise passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016 at United Hospital Center.
She was born June 5, 1929 in Shinnston; daughter of the late Sheldon Roy and Madge Marie Layfield Shingleton.
Nancy is survived by two sons, Alan and Debbie McIntire of Wyatt, David Lee and Sarah McIntire of Enterprise; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Butcher of Monongah, Norma Simon of Bridgeport; one brother, Bill Shingleton of Wyatt; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Junior McIntire; one daughter, Linda Lou McIntire; four sisters, Shirley M. McClain, Betty O’Neal, Mildred McIntire and Myrtle Halpenny.
Nancy was a member of Enterprise United Methodist Church and the Queen Esther Chapter #11 of Bridgeport in the Order of the Eastern Star. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and The Lord’s Pantry.
