Nancy L. Alvey, of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018. She was born on June 21, 1933 to the late Isaac Moore Hayden and Mary Louise Hayden in Paragon, IN.
Nancy had been a homemaker for many years, after working at Mayflower, in Indianapolis and later becoming a Nail Technician. She worked as a volunteer for several years for the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Indianapolis. Nancy had been a member of Southwood Assembly, as well as Pleasant View Assembly of God. She loved to crochet and enjoyed most of all, caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Martin S. Alvey Jr.
Nancy is survived by her three children, Doug Alvey (Cathy), Curt Alvey, and Amy Jarboe (Jim); sister, Betty Bruntz (Robert); brother, Ike Hayden (Debrah); seven grandchildren, Ashley Yaggi, Kylee Mitchaner, Kristin Alvey, Albert and Kristopher Pittman, Jared Neely, and Dylan Jarboe; and nine great-grandchildren, Chloe and Aria Yaggi, Noah Mitchaner, Conner Eakle, Camden Alvey, Jane Jarboe, Peyton Pittman, Savannah Pittman and Kaizer Cruser.
