Nancy Jean West, 82 of Herrin, formerly of Centralia died on Tuesday April 2, 2013 at Herrin Hospital in Herrin IL. Mrs. West was born on November 23, 1930 in Joliet IL the daughter of Frank and Lenore (Kaufman) Benson. She married Jack Alden West in May 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. West is survived by four daughters Karen West of O’Fallon IL, Terry Frontzak of Round Lake Beach IL, Megan Antonsen of Centralia IL, Susan Umdenstock and Husband Bart of Herrin IL; one son Jeffrey West of Centralia ; grandchildren Shelley, Jason, Marla, Timothy, Marjhon, Julia, Holly, Dylan, Danielle, and Chris, seventeen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Mother and Father.Mrs. West was a nurse for many years. She was retired from the Visiting Nurse Association. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Centralia. She enjoyed making arts and crafts and crocheting. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
