Nancy J. Spencer, age 77 of Wolcott, passed away at the Jasper County Hospital September 23, 2014.
She was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on December 29, 1936, the daughter of Dossen and Jewell (Arnett) Byrd. Nancy was a lifetime resident of Milroy Township in Jasper County. She attended Remington High School and graduated with the Class of 1955 from Rensselaer High School. Nancy was employed for 35 years at the former Schumacher Electric Company in Rensselaer. She was a member of the Milroy Community Bible Baptist Church. Most recently she attended the First Christian Church in Remington.
Nancy is survived by her loving family, Son, Garold (Lillian) Spencer, Wolcott, Indiana, Daughter, Sharon (LeRoy) Sutton, Fowler, Indiana, Son, David Spencer, Indianapolis, Indiana, three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, her sister, Linda (Duane) Taulman and brother, David Byrd, both of Remington, Indiana, numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husband, Dallas Spencer, and a granddaughter, Sierra.
