Salem Nancy Hutson Boggs Jones, 74, formerly of Valley St., Salem, crossed over peacefully Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab Center after an extended illness. She was born February 7, 1936, a daughter of Carl and Alma Burns Hutson. She grew up in Lumberport, WV and was a proud member of the graduating class of Lumberport High School, class of 1953 and attended many of their reunions. Nancy was married to the late Homer S. Boggs and later to the late Donzel F. Jones. She is survived by two sons, Stephen N. Hutson and his wife V. Maxine Wright Hutson; Randall C. Boggs both of Salem and a daughter Mrs. Mark (Melissa) Dufflemeyer of West Union. Her extended family also included six stepsons with her first husband and two grown step daughters with her second as well as their children and grandchildren. She also had eleven nieces and nephews whom she loved with all her heart. She was preceded in death by an infant brother, David L. Hutson, an infant grandaughter, Jennifer L. Boggs; a sister Gypsy L. Hutson Fox; sister-in-law, Helen F. Dye Hutson, and a nephew Edward L. Hutson. Surviving are her brother Marvin D.Hutson of Lincolnton, N.C.; a sister Lena F. Hutson Swiger and husband Warren Swiger; brother-in-law, Richard W. Fox of Waldo Run; grandchildren, Misty Lynn Hutson Holt ( husband Travis), William M. Duffelmeyer II; Joseph S. Duffelmeyer ( wife Angela L. Jenkins Duffelmeyer) ; Scott A. Boggs; Marla Rose Duffelmeyer; Zachary R. Boggs. Great grandchildren are John T. Holt, Angel R. Holt and Hagen G. Duffelmeyer. She also had two half brothers, Crandall and Ted Hutson; two half-sisters, Winifred Hutson Collins and Leona Hutson. Nancy worked at the HP store in Salem and was later employed by Salem College, Salem Teikyo, and Salem International University where she was a switchboard operator for eighteen years. She was a Christian and a member of the Salem Baptist Church. Most of her life was spent as a loving mother, grandmother, and wife.
