Nancy H Sheldon, 88, of Anderson, passed away on January 2, 2020 at Community Hospital, Anderson.

She was born on January 15, 1931 in Marinette, Wisconsin to Marguerite and Edgar Habighorst. She graduated from Marinette High School High School and then from the University of Michigan in 1952. She was employed in the Biochemistry Laboratory at the University Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It was there she met her husband, Dr. Suel A. Sheldon. They moved to Fort Hood, Texas, where Dr. Sheldon served as a medical officer in the Army. In 1957, they moved to Anderson, where they raised their two children, Catherine and Timothy.

Nancy was active in St. John Lutheran Church in Elwood, she was a board member of Victoria Guild of St. John Medical Center, and served the Edgerle Reading Club, Tri Kappa Sorority, and National Society of Arts and Letters. In 1978, she attended the Christian Theological Seminary where she received a Master’s Degree in Institutional Pastoral Care and Counseling, and was employed there until she retired in 1996.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Schram and her husband Albert of Wesley Chapel, FL; granddaughter, Bethany Schram Gershowitz and her husband Blake of Lakeland, FL; son, Timothy Sheldon and his wife Phyllis; grandson, Justin Sheldon; and her great-granddaughter, Layla all of Anderson.
