Nancy Ellen Carol Prince Buttrum, age 82, of Newnan, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 7, 2022. She was born on May 11, 1939, in Heard County, Georgia to the late Joseph Prince and Fannie Lee Bussey Prince. In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Jackson Leon Buttrum, brothers, Norman Prince, Numon Prince, sisters, Naveleen Norwood, Nellie Jo Bledsoe and Norma Jean Prince. She is survived by her daughters, Renatha (Jerry) Helton and Kimi Buttrum. She is also survived by grandchildren, Chris (Candi), Meredith (Brady), Leigh (Sean), Brigette (Mick); great grandchildren, Skyler, Ashlyn, Kiki, Gavin, Graham, Clayton, Jude, Houston, Troy and Hayden. Nancy loved the Lord, family and friends. She met no stranger and saw the good in everyone. She enjoyed attending church and was saved and baptized at a young age and was always faithful in reading her bible. She read it twice a day and during her daily duties praying for others. She was a member of Arnco Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, and participated in community events. On April 24, 1959, she married Jackson Leon Buttrum. During their marriage, she enjoyed being a housewife and mother. She worked for Alenco a short while and retired from Long John Silvers after 25 years.
