Obituary of Nancy D. Walton

WALTON, Nancy D. of Saginaw, our beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Covenant Healthcare – Cooper. She was 78 years old.
Nancy D. Walton was born on December 28, 1938 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Frank and Arlene (Bottke) Edmondson. She married the love of her life, Alan Walton on July 22, 1961; he survives her.
Nancy was a proud graduate of Arthur Hill High School with the Class of 1956. She then went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Education from Michigan State University. Nancy was the past president and a past acting sustaining advisor of the Jr. League of Saginaw Valley. She was previously on the Board of Directors for Saginaw General and the United Way and an active participant in the Ladies’ Garden Club of the Jr. League of Saginaw Valley. Nancy and Alan also owned Morgan Horse Breeding Farms in both Saginaw and Ann Arbor.
Surviving are her husband, Alan Walton; daughter, Melissa Anne Walton and fiancée, Tracey Loubert; son-in-law and three grandchildren: Robert and Blake, Grant, and Kendall Moorhead; three step-grandchildren: Kacey, Lynn and Dennis Loubert; two sisters: Susan (Thomas) Galsterer and Marcia (Peter) Ramah; brother, Frank Jr. (Mary) Edmondson; nieces and nephews: Amy (Rob) Fulsher, Jill Galsterer, Joseph (Lauren) Ramah, and Sarah (Donovan) Ortega; goddaughter, Anne (Rodney) Norman; and best friend, Sharon Kaylor.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Pamela Moorhead.
