GERMANTOWN HILLS-Nancy Lea Crain-Brown, 68, of Germantown Hills, passed away at 12:56 pm Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at her residence. She was born on February 5, 1953, in Waco, TX, the daughter of Kenneth and Alberta Trosen Hubbard. She married Leonard J. Brown on June 13, 2003, in Peoria.
Surviving is her husband Leonard of Germantown Hills, her mother of Jacksonville, AR, five children Joy (Doug) McIntire of Peoria, Wendy (Kenny) Burroughs of Ward, AR, Tara (Fiancé Kyle Field) of Peoria, Chris (Shauna) Brown of Bangor, ME and David (Kayla) Brown of West Kingston, RI. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one sister Janet Hubbard of Jacksonville, AR, and her pups Cortana and Emmy. Her father preceded her in death.
Nancy worked at the Greater Peoria Contractors & Suppliers Association for 41 years, retiring as the Office Manager in July of this year.
Nancy served as treasurer for East Peoria Boat Club and the past treasurer for Detwiler Yacht Club. In her younger years, Nancy was a basketball coach at Beverly Manor in Sunnyland, IL. She will be remembered the most for the love she had for her family. She enjoyed being with family and friends, riding motorcycles, and dancing on the dancefloor.
