Nancy (Coyne) Nyquist, age 63 years, of Plymouth, formerly of Canton, died Saturday, August 22, 2020 at her home. She was the wife of Paul Nyquist for 34 years and the daughter of the late James M. and Phyllis (Mason) Coyne. She is also survived by her daughter Lindsay Bascom and her husband Jason of Plymouth, and the “light of her life”, her grandson James, her sisters Elaine Sinclair of Plymouth, Christine McLarnon and her husband Scott of Natick, and was predeceased by her brothers James and Michael Coyne, and her brother-in-law Bernard Sinclair. She also leaves many nieces and nephews that she loved so much and she will be missed by her aunt Mary Regan Ferdinand of Milton. Born in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, she lived most of her life in Canton before her recent move to Plymouth. She was a graduate of Canton High School, class of 1975 and studied nursing. Nancy worked as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years, in the cardiac departments at Norwood Hospital where she was instrumental in opening the cardiac catherization lab, Tufts New England Medical Center and Lahey Clinic before working for Merck Pharmaceuticals in recent years. She enjoyed gardening, planting, reading, swimming and the beach. She along with her husband Paul enjoyed traveling and time at their winter home in Florida. Nancy was an amazing, kind and supportive woman to all she met. She was always the first to offer her help when needed. Nancy was loved by many. Her friends and family meant the most to her.
