Nancy Carol Allgood, age 78, passed away Monday, February 9, 2016 at Avalon Health & Rehabilitation in Newnan surrounded by family.
She was born May 26, 1937 in Easton, PA to the late William Frances O’Connell and M. Arlene Pettit O’Connell. After graduating from high school Nancy joined the Air Force and worked on West Over Air Force base. After leaving the military she began working for Leslie Fay which was a company that made sportswear for women and while there she was a part of the Ladies Garment Workers Union. After retiring she lived in Leesburg, FL and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband William “Andy” Allgood and children; William “Doug” Christian and wife Kim, Kim Kellett and her husband Bill, Paula Mayo and her husband Bobby, Pam Hufnagel and her husband John and grandchildren Matt, Nicole, Joey, Jacob, Jillian, Christina, Nick, Robin, Morgan, Jason, and Andrew along with their spouses.
She is also survived by great grandchildren Abigail, Eric Jr., Hutch, Abraham, Ryan and a long list of other loving family members. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Nancy’s name to the American Cancer Society, 301 Kelly Dr., Peachtree City, GA 30269 or Newnan Coweta Humane Society, 12 The Cresent, Newnan, GA 30263 or a charity of your choice.
