Nancy Carol Gaston, 70, of Linthicum Heights, passed away after a long struggle with cancer at the Baltimore Washington Medical Center on Friday, April 22, 2011. Nancy was born in Baltimore on January 29, 1941 to Helen C. and the late Kenneth E. Gardner. She was a graduate of Western Maryland College (McDaniel College). Nancy retired as a Home Economic’s teacher from Anne Arundel County Public Schools. She was an active member of her church, Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church and a Supply Church Organist.
Nancy was also a member of the Anne Arundel County Historical Society and was on the Alumni Board of Directors for Western MD College. She was also a long time Trustee for Anne Arundel County Public Libraries. She enjoyed traveling and giving tours at the State Capital Building. Nancy was also a hostess at the Hammond House. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Charles W. “Bill” Gaston and her father, Kenneth E. Gardner. Nancy is survived by her mother, Helen C. Gardner.
