Nancy C. Benner, 82, of Hanover Twp., died on August 24, 2022. She was the wife of William P. Benner, Jr. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Pattie Compton.

 

Survivors: Husband Bill with whom would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on November 30, 2021; daughters: Bonnie Hensel and her husband Mark; Pamela Gaugler and her husband Gary; two grandsons: Gary Gaugler and his husband Steve Libby; Matthew Gaugler; granddaughter-in-law Casey Gaugler; and one great grandson, Landon Gaugler.

 

Her joys and blessings were her family and her friends. Nancy loved her family and the precious years she shared with them. Her school years were in Norfolk, Virginia. In school she played a Clarinet from 4th grade to high school graduation. In high school she was a clarinetist and played in the high school band, All-State Band, also a majorette, and was selected to the Norfolk City Band. She was also employed by a Law Office in Norfolk until she graduated from high school. Upon graduation she was employed at the U. S. Naval in Norfolk, VA as a Secretary/Stenographer. She married her husband Bill and moved to his hometown, Bethlehem. She was a charter member of the first Bethlehem Junior Women’s Club and was employed by ITT. The delight of her life was the arrivals of her daughters, Bonnie & Pam. She enjoyed boating, and water skiing.
