Nancy Beam, age 77, of Fairfield, beloved wife of the late James E. Beam II, died peacefully in her sleep at her home on Friday, March 28, 2014. Born in December 1936, she was the only child of the late James Patrick Curnin, and Anna Oberg Curnin. She married the love of her life James in June 1957 and together they raised three sons. Nancy was a teacher specializing in early childhood development. She was the Director of the Fairfield YMCA nursery school for over 30 years. Nancy loved being around children and teaching and developing their young minds. It gave her great satisfaction and she was proud of her accomplishments as a teacher.
