Nancy Noaker Bivenour passed away peacefully on May 16, 2011 at age 80. Nancy was born in Canton, Ohio. She graduated from Canton-Lehman High School and from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. She was active in her sorority Kappa Kappa Gama and enjoyed sports and student teaching.
Nancy married Charles Bivenour, a Naval Academy graduate, in 1952 and they were stationed in Pensacola, Florida and later at Naval Air Stations in California. Next they relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio with General Electric, and finally came to Scottsdale in 1966.
Nancy was creative, artistic and most of all a very caring person. She loved to model, dance and be “Nana” to her three grandchildren and next door neighbors. She shared her talents with others in her teaching, office management and human resources. Her pastimes included reading, travel, playing bridge and mahjong.
Nancy was very active in the Phoenix chapter of the National Assistance League and held offices in the Circumnavigators Travel Club.
