Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and best friend, Nancy Ann Arnesen passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019 at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 7, 1943, to her mother Myrtle and father Patrick Currie in Los Angeles, California. Nancy joined her brother Jim and sister Rosemary when she was born. Nancy attended Saint Ignatius Catholic School while she was there. Nancy moved with family to Long Beach, California shortly after. She then went on to attend USC to study Orthodontic care. She enjoyed employment as a dental assistant at the time. Nancy met her future husband Roy Arnesen at the Highlander in Big Bear, CA.
Nancy married Roy on July 30, 1977 at Saint Mark’s in Venice, CA. Nancy and Roy lived together in Santa Monica, CA. Nancy then gave birth to their first child Anika on March 7, 1978. The family moved to Granada Hills within Los Angeles in 1979. Nancy enjoyed hobbies such as cross stitching and knitting while taking care of her family. She also liked getting out to spend time with the family at the park. Nancy enjoyed socializing with her friends Jim and Josie Leeds, and Heather Crist.
On December 4, 1984, Nancy gave birth to twin boys Emett and Shamus. Later in 1989 the family moved to Boise, Idaho.
Nancy gained employment at Albertson’s Credit Union as a call center representative to support the family. She helped take care of her family while working and putting Anika through Sacred Heart Catholic School, then Bishop Kelly High School. She also put Emett and Shamus through Sacred Heart Catholic School, Ridgewood Elementary, Lake Hazel Middle School, and Meridian High School. She enjoyed supporting Anika’s activities taking her to Irish Step dancing, and supporting Emett’s and Shamus’s activities taking them to T-ball, basketball, football and roller-hockey.
Nancy loved being the best mother she could be and the best friend you could always rely on in your time of need. She touched the lives of everyone around her and would always light up the room she would enter. We all love you so very much and will miss you and love you always.
Nancy is survived by her husband Roy, brother Jim Currie, brother-in-law Stein Arnesen, daughter Anika, sons Emett and Shamus, grandchildren Nyah, Caelyn, Ember and Jesse, nephew Kevin and nieces Susan and Eileen and all their families.
