Norwich- Nancy Agnus (Grillo) Rizzuto 91, of Laura Boulevard died Tuesday, February 12, 2013 in Fort Myers, FL with her daughter by her side while visiting her.
She was born in Norwich on May 13, 1921 daughter of the late Jack and Josephine (Scialaba) Grillo. Nancy was a graduate of Norwich Free Academy, Class of 1939. She worked for many years at WT Grants and Caldors. Mrs. Rizzuto was a communicant of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Norwich, a member of the 050 Club, the Rose City Senior Center and AARP. Nancy loved to be with her family and friends, of which she had many. She enjoyed having friends into her home to visit and share a cup of coffee or tea with her. She was a warm, sincere lady who was appreciative of whatever anyone did for her. Her two grandsons were the love of her life and she looked forward to spending time with her great grandchildren. Enjoying Sunday dinners with family where the highlight of her week and she always took part in preparing them.
On April 6, 1942 she was united in marriage to Samuel Rizzuto at Sts. Peter and Paul Church by Fr. Baldwin. Mr Rizzuto predeceased his wife on February 21, 1992.
Nancy is survived by her daughter and son in law, Judy and Robert Miles of Oakdale, CT, two grandchildren and their wives; Timothy Miles and his wife Jamey of Jackson Hole Wyoming and Jason Miles and is wife Cong of Plainville, MA. She has three great grandchildren, Eric Miles, Evelyn Miles and Payton Miles. She has two brothers Joseph Grillo and his deceased wife Joan of Asburn, VA and Alexander Grillo and his wife Joanne of Lake Suzy Florida and numerous nieces, nephews.
