Nadine O’Malley died peacefully in her home, December 9, 2009. Born to Lillian and Grover Cleveland Parish on March 8, 1923 in Cross Plains, Texas. She married George Thomas O’Malley Jr. on December 30, 1942. Mr. O’Malley continues to live in their Centennial home. Nadine and George had five children, G. Thomas O’Malley III, Michael O’Malley (Kathleen), Molly O’Malley, Brian O’Malley, and Leeann O’Malley Shott (Dan). They had eleven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Nadine served others her entire life. She worked in a hospital laboratory during WWII, worked for Littleton Public Schools, made voice tapes for Books for the Blind, helped to establish the Alzheimer Day Care Center for Swedish Hospital, and was a Swedish Hospital volunteer for many years. Nadine was an avid and eclectic reader and a member of a vibrant book club that began in the early 1960’s. Known for her unique humor and intellect, Nadine will be dearly missed and loved by her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many friends and neighbors. We will never have “just enough” of her.
