Nadine Marie McDowell, 74, passed away September 24, 2012 in Canon City, CO. She was born June 22, 1938 in Pueblo, CO to Malcolm and Hilda (Harder) Stickley. At age 8, Nadine’s family moved to Ilse, CO, her favorite place growing up as a child because of the mountain life the family lived in a 2 room cabin. Nadine was a “tomboy” at heart and loved riding her horse and playing cowboys and Indians. At age 11, she and the family moved to Canon City where she attended public schools and Canon City High School.
