Nadine Espinoza Honwytewa, age 55, of Camp Verde, went to be with the Lord May 5, 2021. She passed while at her home in Middle Verde, Az. Nadine Espinoza Honwytewa was born July 20, 1965 in Keams Canyon to Louis Calvin Honwytewa and Marion Whagado. Nadine began her life in Hopi, Second Mesa in the Shungopavi Village with her 13 siblings. She was a happy cheerful child who adored her father. She, of course, was the apple of her father’s eye. Later in 1978, the family relocated to Clarkdale, Arizona. There she excelled in school and loved cheerleading. She enjoyed sharing her love of cheerleading with her mother and siblings.
She attended Mingus Union High School for a short period of time. In 1980, she began to start a little family of her own. During this time she worked diligently to earn her high school diploma. Nadine graduated with Honors from Westwood High School in Mesa, Arizona. Nadine also earned her Paralegal Certification, Bachelor’s Degree, and Masters in Criminal Justice. She achieved this with High Honors and on the Dean’s List. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa as well. She truly worked hard to continue her education and raise a family of five.
