Myrtle R. Lake, age 85 of Moody, AL passed away on January 17, 2017. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church, Odenville, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur James Newkirk and Lena Mae Newkirk, brother, A.J. Newkirk, Jr. and her husband, Jackie O. Lake. She is survived by her children, Debra Parsons (Steve), Carol Phillips (David) and Ronald J. Lake (Annette); grandchildren, Kelli Lancaster (Justin), Patrick Lake (Mary), Abbey Phillips Freeman (Morgan) and Scott Phillips; great grandchildren, Riley Lake, Eric Lake, Meagan Lake and Jade Lancaster.
