Myrtle Karen Dahl Turner, 96, died peacefully on 4 June 2015, at her residence in Boise. She was born September 16, 1918 in Tacoma, Washington to Scandinavian immigrants, Christian and Ester Dahl. She met her husband Robert (Bob) Turner while attending college; they married on the 18th of July 1941 and were married for 68 years until his death in 2009. Shortly after their marriage Bob joined the Navy during WWII and they moved to Oakland, California, then back to Tacoma after the war ended. They moved to Boise in 1948 and took over ownership and operation of Turner’s Sportsfair on State Street. She kept the books for the business until 2013. Three sisters preceded her in death Helen Hunt, Betty Ensor and Lorraine Noble. She is survived by her sister Charlene (Mimi) Konwent, of Gig Harbor, Washington and by her children Karen Wilde (Peter), Janeen Baldassarre (Joseph), Richard (Joyce) and John Turner all of Boise.

Through Mom, we see a life well lived with a total devotion to her family and friends.  Her greatest disappointment was not being able to renew her driver’s license for 8 years when she was 94; so she renewed it for 4 years.

The family would especially like to thank the staff at Plantation Place Assisted living for the extra loving care they gave our mother.
