It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of Myrth Slater of Marriott-Slaterville on July 29, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer and with family by her side. Even to the end, her spirit was stronger than her affliction.
Myrth was born May 27, 1936 in Rossland, British Columbia, Canada to Morris and Trevosa Marsters.
She was an incredibly warm person who touched countless lives with her innate ability to listen and love without judgment or reservation. She was such an example of strength and courage.
Myrth made friends easily and was loved by everyone. She was a selfless, caring person with a beautiful smile who had a kind word to all. The friendships she made lasted a lifetime. She loved others wholeheartedly, and we all loved her dearly. She will be truly missed.
When her hands would let her she had a special talent when it came to knitting. She loved to make blankets, hand towels, wash rags, and Christmas stockings for her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Lane Slater; her son, Danny (Wendy) Slater of West Haven, and son, Dalen (Melinda) Slater of West Jordan; five grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, brother, and sister.
