Myron Howard Smith, 85, of Sarasota, Fl, beloved husband of Marya Elizabeth (Daniels) Smith for almost 64 years (anniversary on May 31st), passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Born in Middletown, CT, he was the son of the late Gustav and Wanda (Marks) Smith. Myron married Marya on May 31, 1952, in Middletown, CT and graduated Bentley University in Waltham Massachusetts in 1952. When he graduated, he was recruited by General Electric Corporation where he worked until retirement in 1994. His most notable promotion occurred in 1971 while working in Dekalb, Illinois where he was appointed as Manager-General and Tax Accounting for the General Electric Company in Schenectady, New York.
