Myrna Marie Richins Larsen
October 20, 1932 – May 9, 2015

Myrna Larsen, 82, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 9, 2015. She was the daughter of Dr. Grant D. Richins and Cleora Huntsman. She was born in Los Angeles, Cal. but grew up in Provo, UT. She attended Provo High School where she met the love of her life, Stanley E. Larsen.

Myrna graduated from Colorado Women’s College in 1952. Shortly thereafter, in June, Myrna and Stan were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Myrna taught dancing as a young wife and then stayed home to raise her children who always came first. When the kids were older she worked as a medical assistant and lab technician for 40 years. She loved keeping busy and helping others.

She was a devoted member of the LDS Church serving as a teacher and in the presidencies of the Primary, Young Women and Relief Society. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She worked hard in the home, work, church and community and always tried to make a positive difference.

Stan and Myrna built a mountain cabin where they regularly entertained family and friends. Myrna will always be remembered for her hospitality, great cooking, captivating smile, sweet demeanor, kindness, holiday decorations and fun. She created wonderful memories for all those in her life.

Myrna is preceded in death by her parents; her high school sweetheart, Stan and her son, Steve. Survivors include her son, Brad (Sheryl); daughter, Linda La Russo; 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.She is also survived by 3 siblings, Alan (Annalee) Richens, Don (Jean) Asay and Joyce (Darrell) Graff and many beloved nieces and nephews.
