Myra Marie Pitts-Trout, 80, lived a full life devoted to God and family. Her life began January 9, 1940 as the only child, to John Ossian Pitts and Evelyn Estella Bailey, in Grand Junction, Colorado. She grew up in the valley and met her first love at the age of 16, Jackie Dean Boothe, at a dance. They were married two months later on July 1, 1956 in Grand Junction, Colorado. Myra would enjoy adventures in fishing, camping, horse back riding and being part of a large extended family.
Myra and Jack had two daughters, Debora Irene and Diana Lynn. They loved children, so they became foster parents for awhile to 7 children. Bill and Greg were brothers, and Gina, David, LaDonna, Richard and Robert were also siblings. Myra taught her children to read good books, how to enjoy working, cooking, sewing and most importantly how to be positive.
After Jack died, Myra Marie found love again. She married Michael (Mickey) Conrad Trout on August 2, 1974. She was devoted to being an excellent mold maker, which would be an integral part of forwarding both of their art careers. Together, they had three children, Jesse Eugene, Jason Francis and Sarah Marie. The family enjoyed, skiing, fishing, camping and lots and lots of swimming.
After Mickey died, Myra Marie was welcomed into Debora’s home where Debora took really good care of her. Marie was great company and loved teasing, watching Hallmark movies and quilting.
Myra Marie is survived by her children, Debora Petersen, Diana & (Bill) Boydstun, Jesse & (Sarah) Trout and Sarah Reel; her grandchildren, David Petersen, Brandy Petersen, Brian & (Kim) Boydstun, Angela & (Scott) Whitaker, Melissa & (Keith) Graybeal, Trystin Trout, Jason Reel, Regina Reel, Johnathan Reel and Nathanial Reel; and 12 great-grandchildren. Her son, Jason Trout and her grandson Mark Petersen preceded her in death and were waiting for her when she passed through the veil into heaven Sunday, December 6, 2020.
