Myra Nell Lesley Mills passed away on Jan 4, 2021 at DCH Regional Medical Center.
Myra Nell was born on Jan. 29, 1937 to W C & Nellie Lesley. She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Mills, infant son, Norman Mills, her parents, brother Alan Lesley & sister Ruth Smith. She is survived by her children Roger Mills (Claire) & Robin McMillan (Robby), her grandchildren Marla Dempsey (Dusty), Marissa McMillan, Cole Mills and Kathryn Mills, her great grandchildren Luke, Natalie, Whitley and Myra; sister, Faye Patrick; and brothers, Woodford Lesley, John Lesley, and Joe Lesley. Myra Nell was a wonderful wife and mother and took great satisfaction in serving her family, her church and others. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. Nell enjoyed playing the piano and singing great old gospel hymns. She & her husband Jimmie used to sing gospel duets at Bethel in their younger years. She was a member of St Mark UMC where she was a member of the choir, UMC women’s club and Community Bible Study (CBS). Nell was a business owner too. She ran her own hair salon for many years and enjoyed her work and spending time with her clients. Nell was a resident of Heritage Assisted Living and was the piano player for the group there. We will miss her warm smile and gentle spirit.
