Myra Christine Moore, age 79, of Rensselaer, Indiana, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Oak Grove Christian Retirement Village.
She was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on December 24, 1940, the daughter of Vernon Charles and Constance A. (Harris) Phegley. Myra graduated from Rensselaer High School, the Class of 1958. On June 29, 1958, in Rensselaer, Indiana, she married Fred Moore, Jr. He passed away in 1987. Myra worked in numerous industries in her lifetime; including secretarial work at Standard Oil, assembly work at the former Schumacher Electric, a clerk at the former R&M Wholesale Food Market and sales clerk at the Red Baron Liquors in Rensselaer. Even after her husband’s untimely death, she was able to care for herself and provide for her family. Myra enjoyed bowling and played on several leagues in her younger days. She was also a member of the First Christian Church in Rensselaer.
Myra is survived by her loving family, children, Lynda Edwards, Suzanne (Dale) Smith, Daniel Moore, all of Rensselaer & Timothy (Julie) Moore of Kentland, Ind., siblings, Jim (Eileen) Phegley, brothers-in-law, Larry (Joan) Brooks, Dick Marion, Tom (Linda) Moore, Bob (Connie) Moore, sisters-in-law, Trisha Phegley, Carol (Ross) Fishburn, Tweet Moore, Mary (Mike) Kosta, Kathy (Bruce) Wilmington, grandchildren, Justin (SO. Miranda Bryant) Clemans, Courtney (SO. Tegan Easton) Tillotta, Haley (Brian) Bailey, Kegan (SO. Jason Haddock) Moore, Damien (SO. Kayla Gentry) Moore, Jasmine Moore, Eric (SO> Andrea Druck) Moore, Waylen Smith, Matthew Moore, great-grandchildren, Elyssa Pinks, Kellyn Easton, Kylea Bailey, Lexie Bailey, Sophie Moore, Jack Moore, Rylie Irvine, Rowan Moore and Charlie Moore, also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon & Connie Phegley, husband, Fred Moore, Jr., sons-in laws, Ron Tillotta and Bill Edwards, grandson, Jacob Moore, sisters, Margaret Phegley, Marge Brooks, Barbara Kamos, Janice Long, Jean Marion, Pat Yeoman, Sue Ulm, brother, Chuck Phegley, brothers-in-law, Jim Kamos, Wayne Long, Paul Yeoman, Jim Moore, and sister-in-law, Kathy Phegley.
