Muzette J. Barnes, 37 of Centralia, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia.She was born May 26, 1978 in Centralia, daughter of Robert Edward Duncan and Rosemary LaDonna Barnes.
In addition to her parents, she is also survived by four children: Mantez Duncan of Centralia, Ayesha Duncan of Centralia D’Shawn Duncan of Centralia, Montez Duncan of Centralia; two brothers: Hector Barnes of Marion and Dustin Crabtree of St. Louis, MO; two sisters: Marlena Johnson of Centralia and Breeanne Crabtree of Centralia; two uncles: Harry James of Chicago and George Barnes of Centralia; six aunts: Moneta Williams and husband Levi of Centralia, Trudy Bailey and husband LA of Centralia, Chanda Thomas of Centralia, Shirlena Barnes of Centralia, Carmellia Barnes of Centralia, and LaWanda Barnes of Centralia; several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Shirley Barnes and John Barnes, a brother: Arthur Barnes and a sister: Shirley Barnes.Muzette enjoyed reading, cooking, telling jokes and singing. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her children, family and friends. Most of all, her family will miss her wonderful smile. Muzette’s daughter wanted to share something she wrote for her: You were the best mother you could be no matter what you thought. Thank you for everything you done for us.
