Obituary of Musa G. Mason
MASON, Musa G. of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Covenant HealthCare – Harrison. She was 89 years old. Musa G. Gilbert was born on February 24, 1924 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late William and Glenade (Harris) Gilbert. She married the love of her life, Dennis J. Mason on October 20, 1945; he preceded her in death on September 28, 1989. Musa graduated from Saginaw High School and one year later enlisted in the Women’s Air Corps, serving in the Pacific during World War II. She was employed by Muladore Real Estate as an agent for six years. Musa was also a member of American Legion Post #439 Women’s Auxiliary.
She enjoyed going to lunch with her real estate friends. Musa was a tremendous bridge and pinochle player and an avid Detroit Tiger’s fan.
Surviving are two sons: Dennis J. Mason II of Zephyrhills, FL, Kim A. (Sandy) Mason of Beaverton, MI; three grandchildren: Dennis Mason III of Gaylord, Jeremy S. (Carrie) Mason of Bay City, and Brent A. (Ashley) Mason of Saginaw; seven great-grand children; and her caretaker Jan Sayers and her son, Scott of Saginaw who have become a large part of the Mason family.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Bauer.
