In Branford, April 23, 2017, Murtha Lowry, of New Haven, CT, husband of Norine Pieragostini Lowry, father of Timothy John Lowry and Thomas Murtha Lowry, son of the late Murtha and Nellie Conlon Lowry. Mr. Lowry was an Anti Aircraft Gunner in the U.S. Navy during World War II serving in the North and South Atlantic and also was an accomplished and respected Manufacturing Engineer and worked for American Standard Products in Hartford and Mite Corporation in New Haven. He graduated from the University of New Haven and received additional professional certifications from Central Connecticut College and Brown & Sharpe of Rhode Island. He also taught industry related programs in New Britain and was a long time member of the New Haven Irish American Community Center and the New Haven Gaelic Football and Hurling Club where he was a regular player in the Club’s Golf League.
