Murray Stephen Kellman, 90 of Lakeland passed away on Thursday May 9th, 2013.  He was born on January 30th, 1923 in New York, New York. He was a decorated WWII veteran who had participated in the Allied invasion of Normandy, France on June 6th, 1944.  After having been wounded twice, he was assigned to General Eisenhower’s command post where he met his future wife, Mary Pentland. They were married after the war in Scotland and returned to America in 1945.

He spent over 60 years in the shoe industry primarily in sales and marketing and retired as Vice President and part owner of the Weinbrenner Shoe Co. of Wisconsin. Mr. Kellman was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Scotland native, Mary F. Kellman who accompanied him on many world travels after their retirement. He is survived by his two sons, Thomas (Marisol) Kellman of Lakeland, FL. and Ian Kellman of Wausau, WI as well as 2 grandchildren.
